For my normal width foot, the original is way too baggy in the forefoot. The Woven upper is a much better fit without being tight, and the lace loop is where it should be, higher up. I have to admit I was very skeptical about the tight weave of the upper having poor breathability, but even on a run over 80 degrees I did not notice the shoe being too warm. It probably will be a bit warm in the height and humidity of summer, but I'm less inclined to push the pace in those conditions anyway.
I personally like the skinny laces - they are fine comfort wise and less prone to twisting and easier to untwist. Would like to see a perforated gusset and the return of a more open weave (or some holes) in v2, but no reason to wait for that if you need a shoe that wants to go fast!

Fun ride!
Glad I made the purchase. This shoe makes you want to run fast. It is a little less stable than my other shoes, but I only notice when making turns. The Woven model runs a little warm too. Other than that, it's a great shoe; wish I would have stumbled on them sooner.
